Dubai Marina's 7km waterfront promenade is one of the city's most enjoyable free walks - a continuous circuit around an artificial marina packed with superyachts and overlooked by some of Dubai's most dramatic residential towers. The Walk at JBR at the south end is the most densely packed with restaurants and retail; heading north along the marina itself is quieter and more residential, with good views of the boats and towers from the pedestrian bridges. Evening walks are particularly pleasant when the towers light up and the marina waterway glitters beneath them. The promenade connects to JBR beach and The Beach complex, making it an easy two-hour loop.
