The Jumeirah Mosque is one of Dubai's most beautiful buildings - a white neo-Fatimid mosque with twin minarets and a central dome, lit gold at night - and one of the few mosques in the UAE actively open to non-Muslim visitors. The Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding runs guided tours on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, providing traditional dress (kandura and abaya) if needed, walking guests through Islamic architecture and prayer practices, and hosting a Q&A over tea and dates in the main prayer hall. It's a rare and generous cultural access point - Dubai's only major tourist mosque that actively welcomes visitors and invites questions.
