Global Village runs October to April - a vast outdoor festival where 90+ country pavilions line a kilometre-long boulevard, each selling food, crafts and souvenirs from their home country. Entry is AED 25, which feels nominal for the scale - it's essentially a world fair on a single site, with Lebanese shawarma sitting next to Thai mango sticky rice next to Iranian saffron stalls next to Brazilian açaí. Live stages run all day with cultural performances. Friday and Saturday evenings end with fireworks. It's chaotic, multilingual, deeply international and genuinely fun for an evening. Dubai residents queue to get in at 5pm on winter weekends.
