Beyond Alserkal Avenue's formal gallery spaces, the wider Al Quoz art and creative district contains an expanding network of independent studios, street art murals, coffee roasters, vintage clothing shops and experimental food and beverage concepts all inhabiting former industrial warehouses. A self-guided walk through Al Quoz 1 and 3 is free and increasingly rewarding - the area has developed organically and feels genuinely different from the rest of curated Dubai.
