The Dubai Animal Shelter is the UAE's leading animal rescue and adoption charity - a non-profit organisation housing hundreds of dogs and cats in Al Quoz that are available for adoption, fostering or sponsorship. All animals are vaccinated, microchipped and health-checked before adoption. The adoption counselling team matches potential owners carefully with appropriate animals based on lifestyle, living situation and experience. The foster programme is particularly valuable for new residents who want to assess pet ownership before committing, or for animals that need home recovery rather than shelter environments. Volunteer opportunities for dog socialisation, cat enrichment and general shelter support are also available.
