Safa Park

8.3(11,192 reviews)

Al Safa · Sheikh Zayed Rd - Al Wasl - Al Safa - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Website

Green, public space with sports pitches, playgrounds, prayer rooms & a boating lake.

Safa Park is one of Dubai's oldest and largest parks - 64 hectares of mature trees, lawns, a small lake, and meandering paths that have been a community gathering place for decades. The park charges a small entry fee (AED 3) that feels negligible given the space. It's where South Asian and Arab families spread enormous picnics on Friday mornings, where the expat running community does their weekend long runs, and where children exhaust themselves on playgrounds while parents sit under trees. The lake section with paddle boats is a particular favourite on cooler evenings. A pleasant contrast to Dubai's relentless development - somewhere genuinely old by the city's standards.

Yes, there are designated BBQ areas in Safa Park. They are popular on weekends so arrive early to secure a spot.
