Bluewaters Island is a man-made island off JBR connected by a pedestrian bridge and accessible by car, with a seafront promenade centred on Ain Dubai - the world's largest observation wheel at 250 metres. The walk around the island is free and takes about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace, delivering excellent views back across to JBR, the Marina towers and the Gulf. The waterfront is lined with restaurants, beach clubs and independent boutiques. It's an evening destination rather than a daytime one - the Ain Dubai illuminates spectacularly at night and the restaurants fill with a mix of residents and hotel guests.
