JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence) is Dubai's most densely packed beachfront entertainment district - 1.7km of beach backed by a continuous promenade lined with restaurants, cafés, gelaterias and retail, with the 32-tower residential complex rising behind. The beach is free, the water is clean, and the Walk is excellent for an evening stroll past the Ain Dubai on Bluewaters in the distance. It's crowded on weekends and there's a particular energy on winter Thursday and Friday evenings when the outdoor dining is packed and the beach is lit. Less tranquil than Kite Beach but more social, with better restaurant access right off the sand.
