The Dubai Mall is the world's largest shopping mall by total area and one of Dubai's defining experiences - not just for shopping but as a city within a city. The Fashion Avenue section houses every major luxury brand from Chanel to Hermès to Bottega Veneta in purpose-built boutiques. The Souk section recreates a traditional market aesthetic for mid-market international brands. Kinokuniya is one of the best English-language bookshops in the Middle East. The Dubai Aquarium, VR Park, ice rink, waterfall atrium and the Burj Khalifa fountain views through the waterfront entrance add non-retail depth to what is an extraordinary building. In summer it is where Dubai lives.
