Dubai Festival City Mall is the Garhoud community's home mall - a large, well-designed waterfront retail and entertainment centre with excellent creek views from the outdoor promenade and a resident IKEA that drives a huge portion of the traffic. The outdoor Festival Bay area runs regular fountain and light shows (free) and the waterfront dining strip is one of the more pleasant outdoor eating options in Dubai. The retail mix is comprehensive mid-market: Marks & Spencer, IKEA, Centrepoint, a large Carrefour, H&M and Zara alongside a food hall and the multi-screen cinema. Consistently well-run and convenient from Garhoud, Mirdif and Silicon Oasis.
