Ravi Restaurant - Saturday Breakfast

8.0(6,936 reviews)

Satwa · 7HQQ67MH+CJ - 8 9th St - Al Satwa - Dubai - United Arab Emirates

Website

This popular, unassuming eatery dishes up an array of traditional Pakistani & Indian fare.

Ravi's Saturday morning ritual is one of Dubai's most culturally authentic meals: a plate of nihari (slow-cooked beef in deeply spiced gravy), a stack of flaky parathas, a glass of masala chai, and a breakfast bill that makes the price of a valet parking ticket look extravagant. Open since 1978, Ravi in Satwa has served workers, taxi drivers, South Asian families and adventurous food tourists at plastic tables on an unremarkable pavement, absolutely indifferent to trends. The nihari is legendary. The paratha is perfect. The bill is around AED 30 per person. It is one of the most honest restaurant experiences in the city.
