Play DXB replaced VR Park on Level 2 of Dubai Mall and spreads across two floors and 7,000 sqm, mixing VR rides built with international developers and physical attractions. Burj Drop puts you in a window-washer's cradle at the top of Burj Khalifa as the cables start to snap; Dubai Drone sends a 2050 air taxi spinning out of control over the city. Off the headsets, Drifters are drifting bumper cars and SpeedWay runs two-seater cars round an oval track, while Flying Chairs keeps smaller children busy. Rides come off a loaded Pay & Play card, so a mixed group can split up and spend at its own pace. On an August afternoon, few places in Dubai fill two hours as easily.
