Set inside a beautifully restored wind-tower courtyard in Al Fahidi - Dubai's oldest surviving neighbourhood - the Arabian Tea House cooking classes offer a genuinely intimate window into Emirati culinary tradition. Small group sessions walk participants through preparing classic dishes like Khabeesa (date flour dessert), Harees (wheat and chicken porridge) and Luqaimat (sweet dumplings), with the resident chef contextualising each recipe within UAE food culture and history. The courtyard setting - terracotta walls, bougainvillea, wooden mashrabiya screens - makes the experience feel removed from the modern city just metres away. Ends with a proper Emirati tea ceremony and the food you made.
