Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) is a DMCC-developed district of 26 lettered clusters, A to Z, with towers grouped around man-made lakes and a park, directly across Sheikh Zayed Road from Dubai Marina. It is where much of the Marina crowd lives once the rent bill arrives: studios and one-bedrooms cost noticeably less than in the Marina itself, the Dubai Metro Red Line stops at both ends of the district, and air-conditioned pedestrian bridges lead towards Dubai Marina. Restaurants sit in the cluster podiums, so the lake-level strip works as a proper local dining scene. The trade-offs are an older building stock, maintenance that varies from tower to tower and a layout that is easy to get lost in.
